About Us

Early morning at Ancil Hoffman Park

With 14,000 acres of land, including four golf courses, a nationally-renowned nature center, and miles of trails and waterways, you can explore, experience and enjoy our regional park system every day of the year and not repeat the same experience twice.

Because Sacramento County´s Park system offers such a diverse range of opportunities, we have built an equally diverse team of professionals and volunteers to help bring you one step closer to the best Sacramento's outdoors have to offer.

Sacramento is unique in developing strong partnerships with our volunteer and non-profit partners, and has enjoyed the strong support of elected officials as well. The heart and soul of our operations are our people -- nearly one hundred Parks employees who help keep our parks and open space safe, vibrant and inviting. We invite you to find out more about what we have to offer.

Explore…Experience…Enjoy!
