Recreation and Park Commission

The Recreation and Park Commission acts in an advisory capacity to the County of Sacramento Board of Supervisors and the department director. Their mission is to promote, aide and encourage public recreation and community involvement, and oversee the maintenance, development and operation of all recreation areas and facilities serving the residents of the County. The Recreation and Park Commission also serve as the Department’s Fish and Game Commission.

Commissioners are appointed by the Board of Supervisors to serve a term of four years, or until their successor is appointed.
