Welcome! Paradise Beach is almost like a freshwater ocean beach, with sand
dunes and a gently sloping beach to lie on. The oxbow bend in the river creates
a cove where cautious swimmers and skimmers can play. The park is a popular
destination for swimming families and young adults. Both secluded and popular,
Paradise Beach is an excellent lazy-day summer destination.
How to Get There
From U.S. 50, take the Howe Ave. off-ramp, heading north. Make a left on Fair
Oaks Blvd., then a right on Carlson Drive. You will find Paradise Beach at the
intersection of Carlson and Sandburg Drives, over the levee from Glen Hall Park.
