Gibson Ranch


 

Welcome to Gibson Ranch County Park! This 345-acre park bristles with as many activities as an old-fashioned ranch. Like the ranches of old, this park also boasts an equestrian center, stocked fishing lake and preserved natural areas. How to Get There

From U.S. Highway 50: Take the Watt Ave. North exit. From Watt, make a left onto Elverta Road. Make a right into the park entrance, located just past the bridge over Dry Creek.

From U.S. Highway 5 or 99: Drive north and continue on 99 at the split. Exit Elverta Road and turn right. Follow for five miles and turn left into park entrance just past Cherry Island Golf Course.
 

Activities

Take the kids, the office party or the out-of-town relatives to Gibson Ranch County Park, because it’s sure to appeal to almost everyone.

• A family and group picnic area is available for reservations. Up to 400 people can fit in the group picnic area next to the playground. Historical exhibits and a meeting room are also reservable.

• Gibson Ranch is full of animals, both wild and tame. Horses, rabbits and birds are raised by caretakers inside the ranch center, while wild animals and birds inhabit the marshes and natural preserve to the west of the park.

• Anglers young and old can try their luck at Gibson Ranch Lake, which has three fishing docks.

Hours and Fees

The park is open year-round from sunrise to sunset. Parking fees are collected year-round, even on special event days and on weekends.

Park Fees:   $5.00 Vehicle
                   $2.00 Small Watercraft Launch Fee
                   $10.00 Vehicle + Trailer or Oversized Vehicle (over 22 feet)
                   $20.00 Bus
                   Special Event fees vary by event

Self-payment is required if no fee collector is present.
