While the number of organizations assisting our efforts is countless, below is information about organizations that serve and benefit specific parks, facilities and programs.

"Bringing people to nature and nature to people" - ARNHA is a non-profit volunteer organization that supports the Effie Yeaw Nature Center through fundraising, volunteer and docent activities. These activities serve to promote, aid and augment the educational activities of Effie Yeaw Nature Center. ARNHA works to promote the public's understanding of the natural and cultural history of the region through its publications and outreach programs. ARNHA sponsors a number of educational events year round, including volunteer docent led nature walks, habitat improvement projects, and the Annual American River Wildlife Count.
ARNHA cooperates with other community organizations working to protect and enhance the American River Parkway, and is a member of the American River Parkway Coalition.

The American River Parkway Foundation (ARPF) is a fundraising organization that provides support for the preservation, protection, and enhancement of the American River Parkway by restoring habitat, improving public safety, and increasing public stewardship. Fundraising activities include the Great American River Clean-Up, Down River Day and the Adopt-the-Parkway Program.
ARPF has also partnered with the Sacramento Weed Warriors to provide a community-based volunteer steward program charged with removing non-native, invasive plants along the American River Parkway, and is a member of the American River Parkway Coalition.

Friends of Mather Park is a community based volunteer organization committed to the development and stewardship of Mather Regional Park. Projects include the establishment of a memorial commemorating the history of Mather Air Force Base, planting and maintenance of trees, assisting with special events, monitoring development, trail building and interpreting the natural resources of the park.

A nonprofit society, active in restoring and preserving historic sites and artifacts of Sacramento County, south of the Cosumnes River. The Society projects include the Rae House Museum, two pioneer cemeteries, and the McFarland Ranch.

Project R.I.D.E. Offers children and adults with disabilities safe, educational and recreational horseback riding experiences through participation in a North American Riding for the Handicapped Association accredited therapeutic riding program. Project R.I.D.E. provides funding and volunteers to teach horseback riding skills to improve students' physical, emotional, mental and social well-being.

Dedicated to preserving and promoting the historical heritage of Rio Linda and Elverta, the volunteer, nonprofit Society is in the process of restoring the Dry Creek Ranch House and establishing a museum at the Ranch House and conducts educational programs and special events.

A nonprofit organization representing Sacramento area model aircraft flying clubs. SAM hosts events such as the Annual Funfly and BBQ, and the Scale Warbird Racing Association Event. Sacramento Area Modelers, Inc. also operates the model aircraft field at the Andal Preserve.

Save the American River Association (SARA) was founded in 1961 to spearhead the establishment of the American River Parkway. SARA is an advocacy group that works to protect the American River and its associated Parkway through the sustainable use of the lower American River. SARA is a member of the American River Parkway Coalition.

Founded in 2004, “Pathways to Recreation, Inc.” mission is to enable people with disabilities and special needs opportunities for recreational, social and educational activities through the County of Sacramento Therapeutic Recreation Services. Pathways to Recreation, Inc. is a non-profit 501(c) (3) corporation.
Founded in 1995, mounted volunteers serve as the 'eyes and ears' of the Parkway. The specific and primary purpose of the organization is to provide assistance to the public and the County of Sacramento Department of Regional Parks, Recreation and Open Space by conducting mounted patrols along the 23 miles of American River Parkway trails.
